Clients

Clients represent the organizations or accounts you work for. They are the top-level customer entity used to structure projects, communication, and reporting.

How clients relate to projects

One client can have multiple projects. Projects capture execution details and budgets, while the client provides the shared customer context across those projects. This relationship helps you answer questions like: How much work have we delivered for this client in total?

What clients are for

  • Create one consistent customer profile that can be reused across projects.
  • Group multiple projects under one account for clearer commercial oversight.
  • Improve reporting by combining project data at client level.
  • Support cleaner operations by separating internal projects from billable client work.

How to use clients effectively

  1. Create each client once with a clear naming convention.
  2. Assign every customer-facing project to the correct client.
  3. Review project lists per client to track delivery breadth and active scope.
  4. Use client-level reporting to support account reviews and planning.
  5. Keep client data current so new projects and reports remain reliable.
