Projects

Projects are the main planning and tracking unit in Timeora. They help your team group related work, track progress against budgets, and keep customer or internal work clearly separated. For customer work, each project should be assigned to a client so reporting stays connected at account level.

What projects are for

  • Create a clear container for all time entries that belong together.
  • Assign budgets and compare planned versus actual effort.
  • Improve reporting quality by organizing work by initiative, customer, or department, and by linking customer projects to a client profile.
  • Support accountability by making project ownership and status visible.

How to use projects effectively

  1. Create a project with a clear name so everyone can find it quickly.
  2. Define project details such as client assignment, timeline, and budget limits.
  3. Assign relevant team members and communicate the project scope.
  4. Track logged time regularly and compare it with the available budget.
  5. Use reports to detect overruns early and adjust planning where needed.
